They aren't discriminated against. You've probably heard of a rare occurrence.
People may laugh at & poke fun at Asian Americans in Asia; that won't be classified as discrimination.
Maybe if you provide an example of the discrimination you have in mind, this question can be answered better.

In my opinion, the Asians feel that they are inferior to Asian American since they can not speak English like the Asian American, They also feel jealous about American citizen who are rich in America, but, the Asians outside the U.S. have no idea about how hard we are working here and the taxes that kills everyone at this point. You have to choose the country that you family came from then you have more connection. You also have to learn Chinese mandarin in order to survive in the others Asian countries. I urge you to go to Thailand and try to make it there. The Thai are easy going people and the Chinese will help anyone who looks like them. I have no idea which countries against you. Well try the small towns like Chiangrai and Chiang Mai for your adventure and come back to tell your story. Oh by the way, you can go to China easily from the Northern part of Thailand as well as Hong Kong. Good luck and I wish you well.

That upsets me too. People in Asia make fun of Asian-Americans because they can't speak their own language properly and are inadequate with the knowledge of their cultures. I'm vietnamese but I was born and raised in America. I know the people over at Vietnam laugh at people like me because they suppose that I don't know vietnamese. The people over at Vietnam think that America is the superior country which is why they feel better with themselves believing that vietnamese americans have lost their roots because that enables them to feel superior to us.

Most vietnamese who recently moved to the U.S. hate the vietnamese people who were born here because they think that we are likely to succeed more than them because our English is more sufficient. Yet, the fact that the majority of asian-americans have lost their roots still gives them hope that they are superior to us.

Even though I was born and grew up in the U.S., I know more about the vietnamese language and background than most people from Vietnam. Nobody ever discriminated against me because they thought I was born in Vietnam. When they realize I grew up in the U.S, they were totally mean to me!

All asian cultures are very big into purity of the race so they can't accept anything different. It's a sad situation for kids like that and completely unfair in every way.
