Are there any good questionnaires out there, for friends of someone they believe is suicidal or for someone who believes they are themselves? I can't seem to find any good ones, so any help would be appreciated.

As a former psychology major, there are some questions you can ask yourself to evaluate a person's depression and if suicide is on their mind.

For example, is he/she talking about suicide (obvious one)?

Is he/she giving away his/her prize possessions?

Has he/she been depressed for a while and all of a sudden more upbeat? (When an individual decides to commit suicide, they may appear to feel better because they feel they have finally "found a solution to their problem(s).

You can also google "suicide" and that may help you find more questions to help you evaluate an individuals feelings about suicide. I hope you can help your friend! If not, report your feelings to his/her parent(s) and or spouse (I don't know how old you all are).

Good luck!!!
