The latest version for Final Fantasy would be Final Fantasy XIII which will be available next year 2008 on the Playstation 3 console. Other current FF games are FFXII (PS2), FFXII: Revenant Wings (NDS) and FF: The Lion Wars. (PSP).

you should do some research please before you ask such a question. The latest version of FF is on the PS3 its coming out this year as FFXIII, also SquareEnix has a FF planned for the Wii and its based off the Crystal Chronicles series of FF. Please go to Gamespot or Gamespy or IGN or Gameinformer or check out SquareEnix's website. So far the latest FF that is actually availble is FFXII for the PS2, and the latest PC FF is FFXI which is online play. ALSO SQUAREENIX IS NOT GOING TO WASTE ITS TIME ON THE 360 so dont expect any FF games to be for the 360.

Final Fantasy XI is on PS2, PC, and "Xbox360"
FFXI is the MMORPG that SquareEnix started
the above is correct, but there are 2 Final Fantasy XIII games for the PS3
