So, how come they can have weapons of mass destruction? Hmmmmm. Maybe there's a pattern here. Seems like all the countries that DO have weapons of mass destruction somehow avoid war

Look, Iraq didn't have WMD and wouldn't have had for at least another 15 years if Sadam had been smarter, let in inspectors, started his WMD programs again, etc., etc.

Iran will take at least 10 years to have WMD unless they buy one from the old Soviet block countries that went "missing" after the fall of the USSR. Really, they are no threat--now. With religious zealots at the helm, though, they are unstable.

However, a Persian friend of mine says that most of the young people in Iran (25 years old and below, mostly) don't believe in the crap spouted by their government and are against the ayatollas that are in charge. Yes, they are currently an Islamist state, but that won't last forever--even if Bush is stupid enough to invade Iran. And, he IS that stupid.

And, even if a country has WMD, doesn't mean they won't go to war. Look at the US, England, Israel, Pakistan, India,...

Wake up and smell the real world.

Perhaps the only reason that nuclear weapons haven't been used since WWII is that they have never been under the control of religious zealots. The Soviets were atheists. So they believed that death is the end of it. Zealots believe that death is only the beginning. They welcome it. Evidence the suicide bombers. So people are rightly concerned about Iran getting their hands on nuclear weapons. I wouldn't be nearly as concerned if Turkey was pursuing nuclear weapons.
Have you noticed the fact that they aren't?

Definitely I fear the future of US is going to be very bad, not based upon the Iran issue, but because of their foreign policies. US must find a solution to destroy all their nuclear weapon and then they have the right to force another nation. US had killed thousands and thousands of people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and who knows tomorrow US will use the nuclear weapons again?

You make a good point. I am sure this is not lost on the leaders of Iran and North Korea. Even Venezuela under Hugo Chavez is arming his country to the teeth because he feels threatened by us. We may be causing more problems for ourself than we our solving. Iran's leaders know that we are too tied down in Afghanistan and Iraq to challenge them militarily over their nuclear program.
