Totally depends. There are differing degrees of professors. If you have your masters, you can teach at community college and some private colleges but I will assume you mean public universities here. They need a PhD generally and there are associate professors, assistant professors, full professors. It totally depends on where you live, but here (pretty low cost of living) the lowest probably make about 55K and the highest I know of makes about 90K. I'm sure some make more and some make less. The ones I am familiar with were science professors though.

Depends a lot on what kind of college (community college, liberal arts college, ivy leage, etc.) and where. They do not make much money. I heard a radio show recently about California college professors lobbying for higher pay, and the community college professor they interviewed was only making around $65K, and she had a PhD in something very technical and was one of the higher paid ones. She had to move into a smaller rented apartment just to afford to live and raise her daughter! I heard somewhere that community college professors are paid higher than most others; not sure whether that is still true.

all depends on the University, Harvard would much much higher than some no name school, but I imagine it is no lower than 35,000 a year, check out websites below pretty interesting
