No, there's no evidence that the laws of the universe and evolution can't exist without gods, and no evidence that god exists.

To those who say that there MUST be a god who created us and the world around us, then you have to explain this: Who/what created god?

Yes. Although God's own existence is not self-evident, it must be reasoned through our intellect. There are several classical arguments for the existence of God, Anselm's ontological argument, Augustine's teleological argument, but most compelling for me is Aquinas' cosmological argument.

In Aquinas' Summa Theologica, he writes his famous Quinquae Viae (Or 5 Ways), these five ways rationally prove the existence of God. The first two proofs, in my opinion definitively prove the existence of God, albeit an impersonal God. Yet for the purpose of this response, I will only explain these two ways.

The two proofs are both interrelated, using similar logic. The first proof is the Argument from Motion and the second proof is the Argument from Causation. Aquinas argues that it is self evident in the world that some things are in motion. He further explains that any motion, is essentially change, the transition from potentiality to actuality, be it locomotion (change in physical position), quantitative motion (change in measurable degree), or qualitative motion (change in nature). Everything which is moved, must be moved by a mover. He uses the example of a cold water being heated by a fire. The cold water can not spontaneously heat itself, but rather it must be heated by another source. It is potentially hot and as it is heated it reaches actuality. For each thing there must be another mover, and this subsequent mover, must also have a mover. Aquinas' states that it is impossible to have an infinite regress of movers. Were there to be an infinite regress of movers, nothing would it exist, for nothing would have a definitive origin. The regress of movers must eventually reach a first mover, God - He is the unmoved mover.

Aquinas' second Argument from Causation has the similar model. It is evident that there are causal relations in the world, comprised of both causes and effects. For each effect in the world, there must be a cause. There can not be an infinite regress of causes, as there can not be infinite regress of motion. Secondly, something can not cause itself, for that would suppose it preexisted itself, which is an impossibility. In the regress of causes, there must be a first cause, God - He is the uncaused cause.

While these two proofs do not describe the essence of God, they do sufficiently prove his existence - which was the root of your question.
