according to me captain and coach are responsible for this..
because they didn't pick the in-form batsman dinesh karthick and in-form all-rounder irfan pathan... if they dropped the robin uthappa in the final game aganist srilanka and replaced by karthick or pathan.... they will won..... they didn't changed the squad for last three games expect kumble..... the main reason is they didn't bat and bowl well expect few like ganguly,yuvaraj,zaheer,............

actully not only one person cause to loose the match wtih Sri Lanka. In the team all the persons are responsable for 100 million peoples of the India in indian team every one fail in all fields the capitan loose the confidence and the senior players Sachin Tendulkar, Gangully, Sawag in bating and Haribajan, Zehir Khan and Munnaf Patel in bowling and feilding failed there is no confidence in indian team if one wicket loosing automatically all the players in the team loosing the confidence. Accrodign to the your quotation Rahul Dravid failed to won the match against the Sri Lanka by bad decission of choose bat first and opening order in the place of sewag , carried the utappa.

The coach and the captain are responsible. The coach in his highhanded behaviour has brought down the morale of the team and the team spirit. The captain rahul dravid was unable to lift the morale of the team or maintain the team spirit or the cohesiveness of the team. The senior cricketeers like sachin and sehwag also were nervous and insecure. The chief of cricket also has not down much to increase the team performance. So, the coach, the chief and his admin. staff and the captain to a lesser extent are all responsible for the poor performance of team india.

Definitely Sachin. Being a senior & most experianced in the team, he cann't even do his original play. Also, I didn't find him hungry for runs as well as any disappointment on the early dismissals. Sachin don't deserve his place in the team. He & the whole team not only plays cricket but also represents the country. they must be aware of the individual performance, team victory & their responsibilities towards country. I ndia spends a big amount on cricket & cricketers. We expect the good return on our money & time. We don't expect miraculous performances every time, at least they have to be loyal with their profession. In case of the World cup, all the crickters must take extra efforts to win & show some X factor in them. Let Sachin make his money from modelling only. he is obcessed with the instant money getting from ads. He does not need to play cricket any more.

All players are responsible. Cricket is the game of whole team.
( I think Indian Public were more responsible for loss ; as the players were feared about their homes and relatives getting hurt)

all the batting line up no batsmen play well and when indian need some runs rahul dravid was but he alone can do something but he give a laddoo to srilankans .so in my eyes batsmens have done the problem.and our players want money ,when all the players of other teams were practicing they were working for advertisements.poor team they are not likr a team they are enemies of each other.

we hold the sole responsibility. we have not produced good players enough. Our players are really unfit to play under pressure. Moreover, they don't learnt their responsibility.
Look at Damien Martyn, one cannot claim that his in out of form, even then he resigned saying that it is a pressure period and i need to give way for youngsters.
Just I would recommend somebody to post his resignation letter to all our so called Sr. Players.
