The other day I decided to roast a huge chicken. I open the packaging, and all those icky juices spilled everywhere. I sopped up the mess with a bunch of towels. I have washed them twice and they STILL reek!! Any advice in how to get rid of the smell or should I just toss them?

Add a cup of Parsons Sudsy Ammonia (or a cheaper generic brand of ammonia cleaner) to the wash load. You can find ammonia cleaner in the household cleaners aisle.

I would try washing them a couple more times using borax along with detergent. I presume you used hot water and gave them a couple of rinses. If your washing machine has a heavy-duty spin cycle be sure to use that so that the spin will take out as much water as possible. Also if there are a lot of towels you might want to divide them into two batches so they will get more water circulation.

I would suggest you put the towels on a 95ºc wash and a small amount of white wine vinegar & hang out to dry

It shouldn't start up smelling after purely 2 hours maybe the showering device is pungent from washing which became left there for better than 2 hours and now it transfers to the clothing that sits interior the smell. To do away with the smell interior the showering device run the device empty on the main well-liked it could bypass. stable success
