Why is it that a lot of Americans want a Filipina for a wife?

Many of Filipinas here in the Philippines or even abroad are marrying foreigners and likewise, a lot of foreigners (of which are mostly Americans) love having a Filipina for a wife. (though by statistics, Filipinas marry Americans because they would want to go somewhere else other than their country itself and to get out of poverty- in short, to be financially stable with their American husbands and get rich abroad, and so far, almost all that the Americans choose are far beyond their ideal and dream girls). The question: Why??? (Can they just not stay here in the Philippines and help our economy rather???)

I am a person who is of Filipino-American heritage. My father is the Filipino in this case...My mother is the Caucasian. It's interesting to see all the fil-am couples around. I see the filipina girl come to the US with her usually much older husband. She transforms into a totally different person than the one he thought he was getting. Many of these American men think that a filipina wife is above reproach and better than the American women. She becomes the dominant adult in the relationship. It is quite amusing actually. Filipinas and Americana's are all human beings...no one is mentally superior. It is based on a fantasy that Americans want these filipinas. They think the filipina girl wants to be with an American because of some physical attraction. Believe me, that is not it. These older guys are financially stable, and usually much older...she's thinking he'll croak before she does so she will end up with the money. I know so many filipina women in the US who are divorced from their American husband...they are no less prone to alcoholism, or other drug addictions than anyone else. American guys need to see the filipina women for what they are, not as some kind of objects to place on a pedestal. They need to be looked at as human beings.

I think this has to do with your age my friend. Men and women under the age 30 here in the States are very different than those age 40 and older. Younger American women are generally more willing to be partners with a man and work together with him in a balanced honest manor. On the other hand many of the older divorced separated or single ladies have unrealistic expectations or are simply mentally ill or living life in a very careless or reckless way. They have had several marriages and have stolen much of those men’s assets due to the repugnant laws here. That is the one big reason so many men my age will remain single or are looking for a Filipina wife. I bet I could introduce you to 50 educated successful professional divorced men over the age of 40 who have great jobs and money who would never ever marry an American woman again. Of those few would be willing to meet someone overseas they will remain single. There are sadly some westren men who have mental or economic issues who visit Philippines and other thrid world countrys for romance or whatever.

Amercan women are raised watching disney BS.
They think they have only to spread the legs to get love.
They think they are special and men will worship them.
Filipina girls know a man likes to be treated with respect.
There are plenty other women available.
As a side benefit filipinas dont sweat or stink. Even after kids a filipina is tight, where a white girl is sloppy!

Maybe it is because in the Philippines they have that "old school" women are supposed to be submissive thing. American women are more strong and independent now and a lot of men cant handle not having control. That's just my opinion I could be wrong.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but most American men DON'T have a thing for Phillipine women. Some do but most don't. I would guess the ones that do do so because they like Asian women and ones that are submissive.

maybe they cant find what theyre looking for with white woman,and their only choice is to marry an asian girl,i see nothing wrong for an american to marry a filipina,they can be very good housewives,and not about poverty or whatever,lets just them wish them happiness and nothing but the best!

After all, Asian's have the highest average IQ of all races. yes, I would love to have an Asian wife. IQ, as a rule of measurement, is the single best thing to guarantee success in anything.

not just american men either - same here in Australia, they go over to asia pick up a take away bride (which is what they are known for) and bring them back I think its mainly because they do everything for you and men like that - cook, clean, sex, dont whinge, have kids, like money, and spending, bla bla bla

I have been to the Phillipines.I don't think it is as simple as they can't get a caucasian wife,so much as they dont want one.Many men nowadays prefer slim women who wont explode after marriage.I get hit on by caucasian women a fair amount,by women who have boyfriends.Fillipinas are catholic and are seen as more loyal and not prone to divorce for financial gain or on the drop of a hat.I should also tell you,many men see asian women as attractive.If one goes to Vancouver many men date asian.Also ,as we know,caucasian women refer to men who make the same money as them as losers and scrubs.What a pathetic thing(seixist) to say,"they cant get caucasian women."The europeans refer to north american women as "high maintence,low return".They are also sexist and demanding,often using threat of divorce as a weapon.Myself, i have been married to a north american girl,she got hooked on crystal meth.I talked around and none of my freinds were happy in past relationships.As we know in north american culture,nothing is ever the woman's fault.

Myself, i will be going to Brazil.Do you automatically assume i can't get a caucasian woman, or is the truth no one wants north american women?Let's face it,it is the perception these guys will get a more loving,moral,faithful wife who doesnt argue constantly and call him down.I was recently in Puerto Vuellarta and met several well to do gents from the USA.When i asked them what they thought of American women they said "they are fake,phonies,you have to protect yourself and all they want is your money".From what i have seen,many cheat and the average marriage lasts about 2 to 3 years.Is it that North American women only go for rich guys because they are too lazy to make that money themselves?

Maybe these guys are smart,maybe they are just tired of the sexist double standards of north american women.Maybe they are tired of only getting sex once a month,provided they take her shopping the next day.Many guys do stay in the Phillipines,choosing not to expose these women to our culture.The perception is our women are spoiled,sexist,goldiggers,prone to divorce,overweight and argumentative.Sometimes female chauvinists forget,it is still a free country.I think they are mad because they are being bred out of extinction as less and less men want to marry them.Too many men are onto the game.Fashions come and go and many men are now taking note that the typical north american woman wants unconditional love,while having nothing but conditions($) to her love.These guys simply want a better deal,i don't blame them.I don't want to marry here again,amd i know a lot of guys who feel the same way.Too bad north american women think all men want them.Imagine if they knew the truth?I find them somewhat delusional and to say "it is because they can't get caucasian women" is not only arrogantly presumptive and incorrect,it is a form of racism.I'm going to brazil because i am sick of their double standards,and high maintenance.Having dated foreign women,i no longer find the typical north american woman has much to offer,but they sure want a lot.

Here is the bottom line,they want fillipinas because many men think north american women aren't as great as they think they are.Get used to it,it is the new trend and it is growing.Most rich guys now either want rich women(Beckham,Brad Pitt) or foreign women.My lawyer even said "If you dont get your woman checked out,with the way women are nowadays,you are nuts!"Pay a P.I guys you would be surprised and it will be the best money you ever spent.

I suppose many men are gay because our women are so desirable?Hardly,many of them just see north american women as not worth the bother.I feel the same,it is just i am not gay.
