Hell NO
Who but a lunatic would want the job ?
An individual has to be consumed by a meglamaniac demon to even care to assume the position !! A glutton for punishment and an insatiable power juggler !! That's why the office is held in such esteem--- we as a culture have always given special leeway to the mentally afflicted !!!!

Could I be President? Probably not. I do not have sufficient funds or ties to multimillion dollar corporations. An honest hard working man from the lower and middle class can never run for Presidency.

Well anyway I did become President I would call for:

1) Campaign reform, Absolutely no campaign funds allowed, instead candidates will be given exactly a certain set amount of tax money which they could use for ads, posters, etc.

2) I would halt privatization of tradition tasks that the military once took care of. I would subsidize the arms industry and investigate all members of every transnational defense contractor.

3) Congress will have a major overhaul. Lobbyists from corporations, or organizations will be made illegal. They must like the rest of us contract our leaders. No more dinner parties, fund raisers, etc.

I honestly can not say that i could handle the pressure, decisions and criticism. Takes one very strong person to face all this, plus being called names and lot of criticism for protecting US citizens. US is very lucky to have a President that takes all this crap, yet still continues to do what is best for all American Citizens.

Being a president is such a difficult job and i can never hold this responsibility !! and thats why i sometimes appreciate the politicians for these kinds of guts though i don't like politicians at all ! Criticism is Okay but the pressure is a terrible thing to suffer.because when you are a leader of your nation, you actualy have the fate of all of your nation with you.and if you fail, its mean the nation fails..becuase this is understood thing that the nation always suffer for the mistakes of their leaders and thats what we see in Iraq !! So no !! i would never want to play with the destiny of my nation !

I'm too poor to be President. If I was wealthy, sure. It's not like you govern alone. I could certainly be "the decider" though.

I also agree with WldCts72, though I like Bush (and I assume he doesn't). I agree that if he can do it, most any intelligent person could.

(Even if not good at public speaking, and certainly not good at off-the-hip remarks, that's where I agree with your principle, WldCts72. Bush does well in prepared speeches, like State of The Union. But he's really bad at press conferences, I could do MUCH better. I think a lot of people could easily do better than he does in those situations. He smiles a nervous smile at inappropraite times, in example. And his verbal "flubs" are infamous, and hillarious, at times-and not good, if you're President of The United States).

Wouldn't want the job, sorry! Too many critics and armchair quarterbacks.

If I did deign to accept the position, however, I would immediately move to employ nuclear strikes against several targets in Iran, North Korea and Venezuala.

Sure. But the world community would not like my isolationist attitude very much. They will learn what is is really like to hate us when we arent spreading our charity around the world while I'm in office. As I would rather start with charity at home and bring this country back to the satet that made us great.

Yes, i want to make my wife first lady..
and i would veto all the bill congress gave me
i would go to Camp David and hang with my
pals and play in the woods.

I would try to amend the constitution of the United States to lower the age of voting to 14...this would make the older people vote or be taken over by these teenagers...boy these teens would make a new world order

I'm ashamed to admit that I would NOT like to be President. I'd work too hard, try to do too much & make too many people happy. I'd demand too much of my advisors & appointees- & expect them to be honest & up-front with me. I'd treat EVERYBODY equally- and have NO pacience with Special Interest groups. I'd respect EVERY nations rights & point of view, -as long as they did the same to US. And I would welcome anyones criticism- as long as THEY understood that I reserved the right to ignore it when I disagreed. In short, I'd be a lousy leader of the "Free World"...
