It is grammatically correct (if it conveys the right meaning. It just seems an odd way to word a sentence.)
Do you mean "My friend is there in my room"?

Grammatically it's correct. You're using There is my friend as the subject of your sentence. It's a little awkward but still correct. Try a few of these examples to help you clarify what you want to say. My friend is in my room. There is a friend of mine in my room. The person in my room is my friend. The person in my room is a friend of mine.

Grammatically correct. Maybe 'There is a friend in my room' would be adequate.

If you you are outside looking through the window into your room and showing someone where your friend is, it is correct.

If you are simply telling us he is there, you can just say:
My friend is in my room.

Or you could say:
There is only my friend in my room.

According to Microsoft Word, it is....however it sounds kinda dorky. Try "My friend is in my room", instead.

Good luck.
