It was the best of their ballads. Lou Gramm had one of the best pure voices in rock music. The song is certainly a good choice when thinking about someone you want to be with. Urgh. That song played constantly in the Airman's Club and the Rec Center and the cafeterias when I was in the Air Force ostensibly learning avionics but really learning Galaxian!

I had a girlfriend when I was in high school that moved to my school for one year. I fell in love. She almost did but distance killed it.
Man did that suck. I want to hear that song now. Didn't Thomas Dolby (two years before She Blinded Me With Science) do a masterful job with the keyboards on that timeless classic?
