That's just SAD... We need to do a better job protecting our children, we need to make sure these pedofiles are off the streets.

Pay your child support, dude.

Not paying child support doesn't get you sent to prison in any state here in the USA, at most it can get you thrown into jail...prison vs jail, huge difference.

Nor are child molesters the same as sexual predators or child rapists. If they give a child molester maximum punishment, then they can't give a violent sexual offender a worse sentence.

And also, the severity of the crime they've committed must be taken into consideration. It wouldn't be fair to lock up an 18 year old kid who had consensual sex with his 15 year old girlfriend, with a violent child rapist.

Probation may be enough to punish an individual in some instances, he'd be registered on the sexual offender databases and it will haunt him forever.

What sucks is when they say that an real sexual offender or violent sexual predator has served their time, released from custody, and then they move on to kill a child. They will never change their ways, and I believe they should be locked up together in a mental facility with no hopes of seeing the free world again. Their behaviors are socially unacceptable, so why expose society to them?

I wonder the same thing!! But honestly because we don't stand up and fight! We just accept it!! Write your senator congress men and the president! I have done so here recently but the more people speak up for our kids the more they will be pressured to change the laws!! Some states are changing the laws! I won't be happy until they are behind bars the rest of there lives!! The are not rehabilitate that has been proven! so they need to be put away forever so they can't ruin anymore lives!!!

i could call your newspaper and tell them to do a narrative on it. call your interior sight information station, too. they'd have the skill to make certain each and all of the extra advantageous factors of individual circumstances and checklist it so the interest gets out. Then whilst those judges and state prosecuting criminal experts are up for re-election all and sundry would have already seen their checklist for preserving babies risk-free and with any luck the state of Vermont gets some new blood in there. There would desire to probable be some new regulations made via a public outcry or maybe some courses set up in faculties for babies to have the skill to sense risk-free and communicate approximately this. (think of of ways many young ones are dealing with this desirable now in case you already understand how many molesters are already caught) If extra young ones felt that they don't look to be on my own they simply would desire to come forward and start up on the course to therapeutic. don't sense such as you're purely one individual --- purely ask the youngsters, it purely takes one individual to make an entire helluva replace!! God bless!

yes it's a messed up system....I feel for you guys that have to pay child support. Most guys cant live on their own after paying support.I just wish people would slow down and most of all grow up before making adult decisions in life.Child molesters should suffer allot of pain throughout their sentence which should be at least 20 yrs.

This is just another example that laws all over the world need to be re-worked. Times have changed and so should the laws. Some laws that I have hard of have been around since the 1800's.

I don't know why,our justice system is seriously flawed we all know that. Although maybe because it hinges on the fact that someone could get the kids to lie, it happens all the time, whereas not paying child support is a blatant offense that is an outright fact.

5 years? that means he owed one hellava amount, they tried every other way to get him to pay, already tried to take his licenses, etc.

he wasnt taking the hint. and thats exactly where he belongs.

state and federal government are TIRED of people not paying for thier children, and taxpayers having to.... thats why they passed stronger laws.

as for the molesters; i dont know about where you live, but those people get their doors kicked in and house burned down.

they are safer in prison, and more and more states today are keep'n them there... thank Christ.
