Absolutely agree with u. But if Aldridge did get starter minutes, I do believe he will overtake Roy because he has higher shooting percentage, rebound and block shoot. I will love to see him developing into someone like Dwight.

i agree with you saying its Roy and the stats make it obvious until you browse down to games played....Roy's injuries have made the Rookie of the Year race alot more interesting and closer than it ever should've been. Aldridge has shown big games here and there along with the other candidates such as Foye, Morrision and Bargnani but what puts Roy over the top of the rest even when he has missed a good amount of games is his CONSISTENCY, he is consisent every night and that is what defines him and earns him the rookie of the year honor. rookies always struggle with something in the league no matter who they are (even Lebron did with his fg%) so i feel the definiton of the the Rookie of the Year is who's the most consistant. Along with Roy's consistency he's brought the leadership in which his club needed for success and as of late the Trailblazers have climbed all the way into the playoff race but probably will run out of time in their campaign. but just think of what could've been in Portland this year if they would've had a healthy Roy the whole year, I feel they would be holding down the 8th spot right now if that was the case after the Clippers have struggled the whole year. No doubt, that Roy should bring home the honor tho...

While I think Brandon Roy is the leading candidate, I don't think the race is fully decided yet. Bargnani is probably in 2nd right now, and his team's success may garner him some more votes. But at this point, the Rookie of the Year award is Brandon Roy's to lose. He has really changed the entire atmosphere of the Portland ballclub, elevating them from the "Jail Blazer" malaise of the past few years and delivering some real hope. Aldridge is right there with him, and for now, Portland's future looks quite bright.
I will say that Paul Millsap is another one who should be considered for the All-Rookie 1st team, in spite of his limited minutes.

Brandon Jennings is the respond anybody who's unquestionably-known with no longer something approximately basketball will provide yet he has diminished off previous his magnificent fifty 5 element overall performance. Tyreke Evans ought to be the ROY although. examine their stats: 'Reke: 20.a million ppg 5.a million rpg 4.9 apg a million.4 spg shooting 40 5% from the floor Jennings 19.3 ppg 3.8 rpg 6 apg a million spg all on an identical time as shooting a somewhat crummy 40% from the sphere Why is Evans extra ideal in a nutshell? Evans: 50% of Tyreke's pictures are taken in close--layups and photographs in the paint. because of this Evans has a extra physically powerful danger of scoring or drawing the foul--which he does virtually two times as much as Brandon Jennings Jennings: seventy six% the photographs he takes are jumpers--no longer something's incorrect with that different than they are extra durable factors than employing to the rack (this explains his low FG%) Jennings has a nicer helping roster with the greenbacks at this element too which makes Tyreke look that quite extra spectacular. In precis Tyreke Evans is the easy decision for ROY for followers who truthfully understand concerning the sport. Jennings is the flashy ooh and ahh guy who remains rather gifted and could nonetheless have a very extreme high quality NBA profession

Yep, the 2007 rookie of the year honours look to be heading Brandon Roy's way. He is such a natural leader in only his rookie season!
