its pretty even-i mean you are getting over on the guy a bit by giving up maddux. however, snell is gonna be a stud this year-for one he was 14-11 for a crappy pirates team-that just got better-he had a low batting average against (in the .250's)..like i said the pirates got better.
dye is legit no matter what everyone keeps saying. he might not hit 44 bombs again but for sure he'll hit in the mid to high 30's in a full season (like last year) sizemore is just a down right stud. barring injury he's gonna improve or at least match last years totals.
as for what youre getting..well..howard is great but keep this in mind..asking him to hit 58 bombs again is asking a lot. remeber he hit 354 down the stretch with something like 34 hr's in the second half..i'm sorry to say that that simply won't happen again. i'll give him in the low to mid 40's but noooo where near 50-even though i'd LOVE TO SEE THAT.
pierre (in case everyone's forgotten) steals bases..and lots of them..in fantasy ball having a guy with just 30 or so stolen base's..is equal to having a 30 hr guy.
verlander...come on..the guy won 17 games as A ROOKIE for one of the (if not the best) team in baseball. you think he's gonna come down from that? no ..he won't. in the very least he'll match them numbers or go over them. but hey even if he only win's 15 games or even 14. ..that's still 14 games with a mid 3 era. i'll take them numbers anyday.
weaver is hurt but for the record he his much like verlander. he's gonna be pretty much worth having with the team he plays on. he's a lock for 15 wins if he starts 30 games.
depending on your pitching is what counts. if you need two starters then i'd take this deal. its worth having. however if you have decent starters (i don't know who you have) then i wouldn't take this deal.
sizemore and dye combined stats far out weigh what howard is gonna give you. you got power AND STEALS right there with them two.
and like i said. snell is gonna at the very least have 14 wins. but i feel strongly he'll be better because the pirates did some serious up grades to their lineup which will give snell a pretty good starter from day one-a lot more run support. i see him winning 15 to 17 games.

I would do it, though it's not the "highway robbery" everyone else is clamoring about. I would not expect Howard to have the numbers that he had last year, and I think Juan Pierre is one of the most over rated players in fantasy baseball. Personally, I love Justin Verlander and I think he is the main reason I would do this trade, he is a stud pitcher. Weaver is hurt right now and could miss 2-3 starts, though I am always weary of a pitcher who starts the season on the DL.
On the other hand you are giving up Sizemore who is slumping badly in ST (which doesnt mean alot, though I tend to get more nervous about slumping hitters, than pitchers). Dye has been projected to really tail off this year, and Maddux is Maddux (i think his numbers will probably improve pitching in SD). Snell is better than you think, he gets a lot of strikeouts, probably will improve this year.
You definately are getting a better deal here.

they way i look at it is u will be getting 40+ hrs 130+ rbis with howard, pierr is in a good off of linup this year so his runs will go way up batting in the #2 spot sb still gonna be around 50 rbis will be prolly the same and ba should go up cause now he has less worries batting 2nd instead of leadoff ,ver will give u prolly another 16+ wins this year also as far as weaver yeah he is hurt but should only miss 2 starts still leaving u with 30,grady will prolly have simular #as last year so thats no big loss, dye well he will be the biggesst dud this year u can base 1 year on his futer the guy is getting old and as u get older ur power goes he is no big hurt, thome, etc he will be lucky to get 25 hrs this year maddux old but accurat thing is will he stay healthy and can his slow off speed pitches keep him afloat. so i guess im saying i would take it no ? down

YES!!! DO IT
RYAN HOWARD is one of the best fantasy baseball players, verlander should be good, and jered weaver is great for fantasy because he gets lots of strike outs. You're not really giving up much. DO IT NOW!

In my opinion that is a good trade for you. In hindsight you're trading 5-tool talent with Sizemore for hitting AND pitching. Of course Howard and Verlander to be precise.

I would rate it fair, Weaver is injured and Howard will be walked all season, so I dont think it as good as it appears.
