Why did human beings lose their fir?

Humans developed the intelligence to wear animal skins and such. Fur is usually just enough to survive the cold, not be comfortable. All living things have an energy budget, since fur wasn't need for our survival the energy meant for producing fur was put towards other things. We still retain a lot of hair on the head because that is where a large amount of heat is lost.

A fir is a Christmas tree. If you mean fur, it still hasn't happened around the Mediterranean.

Humans lost their fur about 2 million years ago, long before they started wearing animal skins. They didn't need fur as they lived on the savannahs of Africa.
People only started wearing skins when they moved north into the middle east, because it was colder there and they had no fur. This was recent enough (only about 50,000 years ago, I think) that we haven't had time to re-evolve fur.

When God made people he made them as they are now, with no fur. Nevertheless, my wife seems to disagree and has made the outlandish and spurious claim that I do in fact have fur all over my body. A reference to my French ancestry no doubt. O when will this anti-Frog thing end.

We always looked just like we do now ......Now Neandreatlhs might have had some fur but they died out 30,000 yrs ago
