My husband and I are going on our honeymoon there in two weeks. Are there any activities or tours that we should look into? Any recommendations on the restaurants? Is it as great as it sounds? How are the bars? Dress code? Any information about this resort would be helpful. Thanks!

Dunns River Falls

dont be afraid to leave the resort. Climb Dunns River falls. go see bob marleys tomb at nine mile. It is really nice, at the resturants men must wear pants and a collar shirt. Women are expected to wear nice clothes. Take your own snorkel gear to see the fish. There are many bars around the resort. The resort is also split into 2 different areas. There is the old beaches resort that is on the hill, and the sandals that is on the beach. They combined the two and they have shuttle buses to take you from one side to another. Hopefully you will stay on the garden side. They are like little condos and you have your own little pool that you share with the 4 other rooms. The italian resurant is probably the best, but wee mostly ate at the little snack shacks. When getting a drink ask for double the liqour as it seems to be a little watered down. It has been a few years since we were there but it was nice. Please get out and see the real jamaica and meet the people.

For visitors who want things to get a little more hopping at night, the best bet is Amnesia, a traditional Jamaican nightclub located at 70 Main Street in Ocho Rios. This club has everything from foam parties to live music and cover charge, when they have it is usually less than $5. Reviews of Amnesia can be read at http://travel.yahoo.com/p-reviews-288... . Visitors looking to stop at a more American club should go to Jamaic’N Me Crazy located at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa. It is said that only guests can enjoy this club but non-guests have been rumored to be allowed in.

For those interested in trying to party with the locals, James Street is usually the place to visit. Many of the resorts along James Street host reggae-themed party music. Visitors staying at Sandals should take advantage of the poolside bar and late night hot tubbing that the resort is known for.

=)

My wife and I spend our honeymoon at Sandals Grande in St Lucia. Any Sandals is great!!! on the site it shows people dressed all in their best attire but it is more casual than it looks. people seem to get dressed up for dinner per say but casual during the day. they wont let you go to eat in swim suits or wraps etc. the drinks are good!!! you may have to point at the "top shelf" and say ....yeah ...the Absolute please....or top shelf anything. The frozen drinks are great ...i didn't have any complaints overall. We want to go to Jamaica soon. Have fun!!!
