Then when you open the door you find a door hanger saying you weren't home? I have had this happen many times and I've not only been home, but the packages I'm waiting on are so important, I am actually sitting not 10 feet from the door. What 's the deal? No one knocked.

Yes that has happened to me once. My sister paid extra for next day delivery and I stayed home all day waiting for it. When I felt it was beyond the time UPS usually delivered in my area (arounr 1pm each day), I walked outside and there was the slip saying they would redeliver the next day.

I called my local UPS headquarters and complained and the driver redelivered that day within an hour of my call.

Every time you experince, some thing different. You should better chase up with them, over the phone. Close co-ordination with the courrier company can help you save some waiting time, and certainly a disappiontment.

Absolutely. I've called and complained and told them to redeliver same day. Usually works too.
