I usually bury my dead under the rose bushes in the front yard.
Great fertilizer and no cloged toilet.

my favorite goldfish died a few weeks ago, I cried a lot. I love all my fish and bury them in the garden. I invite my friends or family and say a few words. put the first handful of dirt of the grave myself, and a flower when it's done.
people think I'm crazy, but I love my fish. there's no wrong way to dispose of a fish, i just think this is the most respectful way, returning them to the earth. flushing them down the toilet in my opinion is like that's they mean sh*t to you because that's what you're putting them with, it won't go "back to the ocean". and the garbage is kinda like it meant nothing also, like it was garbage.
sorry about your friend's fish, just tell her to do whatever she feels is right :(

it's really your opinion as to whether the animal has a soul or not, you should not state it like a fact. I personally believe ALL living things have souls, and was highly offended by your "statement." if she was that attached to the fish I'm sure she would not appreciate hearing "it's just a fish, don't over react" she may also believe her fish went to fish heaven.

Definately not the garbage.
The nicest thing to do for it would be bury it in the backyard maybe a little flower or something nearby like a little grave if she wanted to. Second would be to flush it, no mess, just bye bye fishy!
Depending on the fish it may be to big to flush though

If she really loves her fish she can bury it in the backyard. Maybe by a special tree. But if not too much flush it. Don't put it in the bin it will stink.

If it was small, flush it,throw it out or bury it. (It makes good fertilizer. If your friend can't let go yet, put it in a plastic container and freeze it. It's dead,it's gone. When you eat meat or fish, you are consuming an animal. Treat the dead pet with a little respect, but don't over do it.It had life, but has no soul. It is just material, not spiritual. Humans are both.

I bury them in my plants. That way they help the plants to grow. If she was really attached to this fish, bury it in the backyard & give it a grave marker. If not, flush it!

You know all that stuff they say about not letting your live fish go in local ponds because it will affect the ecosystem? It's the same thing for dead fish. Bury it in the back yard - don't flush.

I always bury my fish. They continue to give me pleasure by fertilizing my plants. The cat may enjoy it also, but I wouldn't feed a dead fish to my cat. It probably died for a reason other than old age is my guess.

It is really up to her. There is no wrong way in where to put a dead fish. If she really respects her fish a whole lot, then she could give it a proper burial.

Bury it. That's what I did with the majority of my fish.
