There will probably be an initial discomfort with first-time penetrative sex, yes, but it shouldn't be overwhelmingly painful- sex isn't supposed to hurt. Still, most first times are a little uncomfortable for women, who, unless they have penetrated themselves before, have vaginas not used to being stretched, and potentially still have hymens that will be torn (causing a very natural, small amount of bleeding that shouldn't be any cause for alarm).
Just remember to make sure you are aroused with a good deal of foreplay, to make sure you are well-lubricated or use artificial lubrication like K.Y. Jelly, and go slow with someone you trust who wants to take care of and please you.
Hope that helps and good luck.

It can hurt but it doesn't have to be bad. A lot depends on how good the man is at foreplay which prepares a woman for sex. Foreplay relaxed the muscles and greatly increases lubrication so very little foreplay = more possible pain. It also depends on the size of the mans penis compared to the size of the womans vaginal canal.
This is partly why it's important that the man care about the woman. You'll want to be with a man who cares whether or not it's painful for you and not someone who just wants to get their rocks off with a virgin. Be sure you're first time is with someone who truly cares about you and your well-being.
The size of the womans canal has nothing to do with their race. It doesn't even necessarily have anything to do the womans physical size altho a small woman is more likely to have a small canal just as a small man is more likely to have a small penis. Generally it's true but not always.

it helps to have a gentle, patient lover.
Also, be sure to protect yourself from pregnancy and STDs. It will hurt for a moment or two when you are first penetrated, then it will feel better. You may be a little sore the next day because you are using parts of your body that have until now been unused.
Try to relax and enjoy yourself.
And NO, staying a virgin until you're married does not make it hurt less. sigh....
Good luck

It depends. There are factors to consider such the woman's level of daily physical activity (many women who exercise or play sports on a regular basis break their hymen without even knowing it), foreplay (this gets a woman's "juices" flowing making penetration easier), emotional preparedness (it's difficult to enjoy sex when one is not ready for it), and the sexual partner (remember, the old adage, "it takes two to tango"). I was lucky enough that my first and only sexual partner that it did not hurt AND we had a great time. Check out this web page. It's informational, not preachy, and written in plain spoken Engish. http://www.scarleteen.com/sexuality/firsttime.html
Goodluck! Be safe and enjoy.

It didn't hurt at all for me. It didn't really feel good yet until a few times but it wasn't bad. Just tell him to go slow if you're scared. Make sure there's a lot of foreplay before hand!

Yes it does. And you may or may not bleed as well. Not all women bleed. If you do bleed it's only for a little while.

Not if you're typical for a white woman. If you're Asian, then there is a higher chance.
It has to do with tightness. In order of tightness and reverse order of possible pain losing virginity here is the rundown:
Asian women (tight)
Black women (medium)
White women (loose as)
