You want something like Adobe Photoshop (which you can do a 30 day trial), but there's another solution. Gimp is a free "photoshop-like" program, that has filters built in that can make a picture different colors (black and white, negative, sepia), and can do various other things...so go to:

It's for Windows as well (Download page).
