I am betting that it will be a Dem, and I truly believe it will be a good thing. However, I know you didn't ask, but I think that no matter whoever takes over the Iraq situation will never be resolved...it's a gaggle****, and any Pres. will be screwed. Thanks G.W.!!! :o(

If the election were held tomorrow the Democrats would win in a rout. The American people are very unhappy about this war, and now Congress has done as the people asked, only to be looking at a veto from Bush. Add the stink of corruption coming from the White House, and all the scandals since before the mid-terms and it's a no-brainer. The question is will anything change between now and Nov '08. Since Bush is too arrogant to change and there appears to be more than enough smoke to warrant a fire where investigations of corruption are concerned the answer seems to be a resounding no. Whoever the Democratic nominee ends up being, they will be sitting in the Oval Office come January 21, 2009.

A Democrat. Hopefully Hillary Clinton. She done a GREAT job running the country before for 2 terms, while Bill Clinton was in office. Everyone knows how it is, "Behind every good man there is a great woman". We as a country USA need Hillary, Just look at the mess the Republicans have got us into. It took a Clinton to clean up after a Bush before and that is what it will take again.

I hope anyone but a Republican or Democrat. They both could care less about America. Let's just say screw them all and vote only for independents.

We all have problems with the Democrats and the Republicans - so why don't we vote for Independents? Its because we as Americans want to vote for a winner. Well, you will be voting for a winner if you vote Independent. It doesn't have to happen over night. Start voting for Independent City Counsel members and then your county and then state, etc.

Well the freaking Republicans have damned well taken everything else -- don't see why they won't try to take the bleeding White House too !!
The next President will probably have to live in a double wide mobil home to set up her new Democratic administration --- while the Secret Service goes into hyper drive figuring out who has jurisdiction in the efforts to get the freaking White House Back to DC from Crawford !!!!

A Democrat. People have had enough of Bush and his party. I think certain members of his party has had enough of him already. I doubt if a Republican President will now be able to live through all the criticism he would get when he first gets into office after all this that has happened.

I think a Democrat will take the White House, and I think it will be a disaster.

Then I think the Republicans will take back the White House but not hold it for long either.

Im still hoping for a strong independent, its time for a third party system. The Democrats are just like the republicans but in different ways. Politicians are greedy, liars

A republican. I hope it's Rudy Julianne. He is the best out the rest of the lot. God help us if it's one of the others. I think we should vote for a third party. I don't think the Republican or the Democrats get it or they just don't care. Abortion,Gay rights, etc has to be worked out as a society. What's important is emigration, social security, minimum wage, etc. They need to work together and quit blaming each other. All I see is the blame game and playing politics.

i hope a republican.. but when you think about it they are nearly the same. But whoever wins the election will run on conservative issues.. they always win... look at clinton and the last election. The democrats won the house and senate because they talked as if they were conservatives!!! Go figure.. but then when republicans get in, they tend to be more liberal.. i just don't know what the heck to do.. but i hope a conservative wins!!!

You know; I really DON'T care. I just want someone in there who KNOWS what he/she- is doing. Because as far as I'm concerned- the post of President has been filled by a "pretender" since Clinton left Office. And nobody I know- can "pretend" that everything's going just "fine" anymore.. :(
