I love the Ratchet & Clank series...you get to shoot stuff & upgrade your weapons. Plus figure out what you need to do next to move on, it can be hard, but very addicting.

Hmm, im more into the RPG stuff and fantasy, I would suggest Onimusha Or the final fantasy. But what has me on right now is Castlevania, These games are kinda hard not that hard I would say the range of at the edge of medium reaching to hard. These games have violence and gore. Very addicting and great storylines. A fun one is Kingdom hearts, and Kingdom hearts 2

These games will keep you awake all night. And if your into horror but not into too much of zombie killing but into ghosts. Play fatal frame 1, 2 and 3. Part 1 is based on a girl looking for a brother in a house who has left searching for a famous journalist. But when her brother never comes back home, her sisters searches for her brother at himuro mansion (were he disappeared) and finds herself trapped inside with spirits and a camera left behind from her brother given from their mother who is passed away. The camera is your only weapon. Its not like you take a photo and the ghost go's away. No you must use techniques as in freeze them take a photo and drain there energy. Best horror game that has not much blood but scares you at the same time. Part 2 is about these 2 girls that are trapped in a village and one of the girls sister is then being led to a ritual, Her other sister looks for her and encounters the camera obscura, (camera from first game) and theres like 3-4 endings. Very interesting, I won't tell the 3rd one you must find it yourself lolz. btw the games are called fatal frame 1, fatal frame 2 crimson butterfly. And fatal frame 3 the tormented. Btw fatal frame 1 is supposed to be based on a true story, but as I researched its based on a girl that went searching for her brother =/....Look up some videos of these games if your interested in youtube, youll be surprised XD Have fun =P

Final Fantasy Games are the best, if you haven't played any, I suggest playing FFX first. To get a feel for the fighting style. All Metal Gears are the bomb, However, unless you start from Metal Gear Solid on the PS1, you'll be confused throughout the whole game. Except maybe MGS3 Snake Eater.

Resident Evil 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They re-vamped the game so that it kicks so much @$$ you could sell donkeys at wholesale price(asses, donkeys... i thought it worked)
the story is insanely cool, the graphics are crazy, and the difficulty is OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first freakin' level/village takes twenty tries to get through, tons of people ambush, rush, and cut you off so much, your head spins.
Villans come out of nowhere, and even if you have God Mode on, ITS STILL FREAKIN HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (cause they cut your head off! what the hell, right?)
Definitely get that game, or rent it first. I garanttee you'll be addicted by the first village you enter.
Now the controls are kinda weird to begin with but once you get used to it? YOU'LL LOVE THEM!!!!!!

This installment of MGS happens before the original PlayStation game. Yet I still think it better to start with the original.

Tekken is an awesome series but quite pointless if you crave substance in your gaming experience. (Once again, MGS is all substance, and keeps it fun as hell)

007 Everything or Nothing is a sick JB game, 3rd person, auto aiming, and the gameplay feels like you're in an official James Bond movie.

SOCOM is great, objective based(when doing campaign) difficult goals and optional goals available to hoan your skill. any SOCOM is good but the lastest is SOCOM Combined Assault (I've not yet played it)

Tony Hawk games, i feel, are better on the PS2.
american Wasteland is the best one by far.
yet i like the soundtrack of THPS4 the best.
but gameplay? American Wasteland.

Path of Neo is ******' SICK!!!!!!!!!! but i've only played it on XBOX so i don't know how the PS2 controll is.

I hope this helps you with this delimma

Oh by the way... if any one says Ghost Recon? burn their tongue and feed it to dogs whilst still in their mouth. That game sucks hard, they botched the controlls, the view, and the gameplay. Hopefully Advanced Warfighter is better, but anything Ghost Recon is bound to suck.
