I'm straight and I do not believe in the (majority of the) bible. I try to but it sounds too fairytalish. I'm sorry that's just my beliefs.

I, personally am fed up having the bible thrust down my throat and being told that I am wrong. They way some of these people carry on, you would think that Christianity is the ONLY religion.
I am a Druid, and I follow the path of the Ovate. The Ovate Druids were the healers and judges of the ancient world.
I learn as much as I can about all religions. And one thing I have learnt about the bible is, a person cal take a sentence out the bible and use it to justify anything. Why? Because it is out of context and/ or mistranslated.
A message to those who use religion to condemn us gay people. Give it up, save your breath, you are wasting your time. Try a new hobby, maybe try gardening, make our world look nicer.

I care about the Bible, and I care about what people believe.
But (and it's a big but) religious fundamentalists who troll this page (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) are twisted individuals with huge chips on their shoulders. I have seen a few kind comments from 'believers' in this page, but the vast majority of what I see from 'christian' people in this page is the kind of rubbish like:
1) You gay people are all sick
2) You gay people are all going to rot in hell
3) Boy, won't we 'christians' be glad to see all you sick, gay people rotting in hell
So, what is the purpose of these frothing nutjobs saying these things? Do they honestly think they are 'witnessing' to us? Do they honestly think that anything they say is going to make anyone say, 'oh, he's right! I must stop this foolish choice of lifestyle!' I don't think so. I think all they want to do here is throw their sense of religious superiority around.
At what point, I wonder, did Christianity stop being a faith of compassion and love and starting being a system of hate and gloating? I don't want to believe that it was always like this. I prefer to think that, since the time of Jesus (if we can assume/agree that Jesus existed, and that the words and actions ascribed to him are, if not literally true, at least spiritually valuable) there have been those who have embraced the message, and those who have used the 'authority' of Jesus to bash in other people's heads. We've seen 'christians' in the past use the name of Jesus to bash in the brains of Jews, Moslems, women, Blacks... you name it.
I don't think this is anything new.
But, I do know there are those in the world (some of whom choose to share on this page, bless them) who take the words and message of Jesus to heart and act from compassion and love, believing all to be children of God. Not 'us' and 'them.' But 'we.'
Sadly, this latter form of Christian is far more rare than the former.
As far as the Bible goes, I think it is an interesting book. But I also know it to be riddled with error, mistranslation, and a whole lot of filler. To hold the Bible up as THE word of God, as if God has had nothing to say since, or never spoke a word beforehand, is ludicrous. It strikes me as a very odd sort of idol worship.

If you want me to be completely honest, I do not respect the teachings and dogma of Christianity one bit. The religion promotes nothing but hatred and bigotry and is the cause of much persecution and war in the world, and I'm not just referring to gays when I say that. Look at the Crusades and how the Muslims were oppressed by Christians, look at Salem and see how many innocent people were tortured and killed by Christians, whether they were pagans or not. And look how Christians constantly try to force their opinions and beliefs down the throat of everyone else; no other religion in the world is this pushy on prothelizing. The religion is completely hypocritical of itself, it preaches love and tolerance, but its followers do the exact opposite.

it is not that we dont care, just people cannot canalize their emotions or frustrations and throw a lot of crap on us, like we were the worst on earth.... when there are so many other issues to care about!
