I'm handing in my application for it tomrrow
It's two weeks in the summer unpaid

I'm having second thoughts
I'm going into engineering first year at university next year, but I'm wondering, is it really worth it for the internship?

Would you take it?

I would give it a chance first and see if you like it. You won't really know for sure unless you actually try it out. If you don't, you'll always wonder "Would I have liked that and done well on it?" The two week unpaid summer internship is a perfect opportunity to see if this is really what you want to do. If it turns out that it's not what you want to get into, you still have plenty of time to thoughtfully consider something else.

I would take the two week internship, with the idea that its mostly to see if I would want to pursue engineering - that's probably one reason why they are offering it - to sort of weed out people who aren't really serious about continuing with it.
