i used to play bass and drums. I never learned to read music until I started compose music using noteworthy. but have limite knowledge on, well everything. so i bought a key board and learned a few songs but it severly limited my creativity. does any body know any sites or books that can teach me with out destroying what I've already learned

sorry perhaps I forgot to mention I did learn the wich note was which in the for clefs. I want to study theory or somthin to help me out

There's nothing else 2 say...I mean you can mess around with the keyboard until you find a sound you like...however that's the "untalented" way of writing music. To really write a song you gotta know how 2 read the music. It's not that hard at all anyway. Use programs like Sibelius (if u have Mac, if not I'm sure there's something 4 PC) that will make it easier 4 u 2 write/print out ur music. To write music u have 2 know how 2 play and how 2 read it. But I see you're already experienced unlike alot of artists 2day so thats a good start. Good luck!
