Cricket is played as a game in India but it has more commercial value than any other sport in the country.

Cricket is by far the highest money spinning sport in the Indian subcontinent. It has become a big business with lots of money pouring in. Most of the administrators are not really linked to the game, but are either businessmen or politicians.

Cricket has become more a business than an game in india, with big money involved. This has removed all sportsmanship from the game and handed it over to speculators, gamblers, hawala racketeers, underworld etc. etc.
