Once, at Steak and Shake (Resturant), I read a sign that said "takehomasak". I asked my friend if that was holiday (maybe jewish or something I wasn't familar with...it was many years ago, forgive me I was young). He laughed in my face and explained it was an add for the take food (take home a sack...of sandwiches and fries). I could have died...boy was my face red! Have you ever had something similar happen to you?

Yeah I went to a convention at a big hotel with my husband for a weekend. My husband was busy at a meeting so I had a swim in the pool hotel.I put my clothes in the dressing room in a locker, went for a swim.Went back to the dressing room had a nice shower and noticed a guy having a leak.I said ohhh I am in the wrong room, while he was laughing his head off.Thank heavens I was wrapped in a large towel. Then I go to the locker to get my clothes and this guy is standing there naked,he pretended he didn,t see me and acted like this happened everyday.Needless to say I snatched my clothes out of the locker and made a beeline to the ladies change room.

I haven't personally experienced anything like that, but my mother has. My dad was in the Marines and my mom went to the base to visit him. Of course she had no CLUE what all those signs meant on the base. My mom and dad were sitting at a table eating when a guy came in REALLY MAD screaming "listen lady, the helicopters need a place to park too!" I think she was banned from parking on the base after that.

When we were in the military, (they have loads of weird things they say and acronyms) I had just got a car and drove up to the unit to pick up my husband. (I had never been up there before mind you) and there was a big blue and white sign, said :NO POV
Ok no idea what a POV was, I drove my little old car through formation (all the guys standing in rows,at attention) stopped long enough to ask where the certain unit was located... and was asked if i knew what POV meant. OMG that was the most embarrassing day of our military life. POV is Personal Owned Vehicles and my little car sure didn't look like a big old tank! ha
((the military should have handbooks for family memebers.. military for dumbies ! ha)

YES!! Recently I was Tao in Vegas and went to the restroom, I looked at the doors and they had symbols on them, not mens/womens... so I took a chance and you guessed it wrong one, but I wasn't the only embarrassed one..the guy standing at the urinal right inside the door was a little surprised!! I felt 100% more idiotic as I realized there were statues outside the rooms of a man and a woman- I hadn't even noticed them!!

I felt so stupid when I was called for jury duty the first time (and only time). At that time I was single and my maiden name started with a D. Well, when they call you up to ask you questions for picking out who will serve from the potential jurors, they start alphabetically. I was first. I never seen this done before. My name was called and I went and sat in the witness chair instead of the first seat in the jury box. Dump Dumb dumb. The cranky old judge said "Wow, I've never seen anyone so anxious to sit in the witness chair". Geeez.
I was so embarrassed. I was not picked for jury duty and they have never called me back. Don't know why!!!

yes that happened to me. but anyway, i was at Burger King and when i drive up in the line i had MC Donald's in my mind, so when she asked me for my order i asked could i have a big mac, Oreo MC flurry, and a chicken wrap and the lady taking my order started laughing. so I'm already hungry and to have her laugh i got heated i asked her what was so funny, and she said ''we are currently out of big mac and the Oreo MC flurry'' so i said '' how the hell y'all out of that and y'all suppose to sell them'' and she said ''just like i said'' OH hell nawl, i drove up and everybody in the store was at the window and i asked the girl was there a problem and the manager said ma'am you are at the wrong store. you asked for a big mac, we don't sell them MC Donald's sell them. I was so embarrassed i told the manager and the girl behind the register that i was so sorry and had a lot on my mind, and they just bust out and started laughing. And the gave me directions to the MC Donald's down the street. and till this day, you cant pay me to go back to that burger king. how stupid i felt that day.

YES!!! I went to Mc D and I ordered a Big and Nasty, they asked me to repeat my order and I said it again, this time I heard them laughing and they asked me again. At this point I was angry because not only did they make me repeat my order but they also were laughing at something and not paying attention to me. When I paid I could still see their smiles and I left so angry. It wasn't until maybe half a day passed by that I noticed what happened and was so embarrased.
