Catholic social services has counseling and they go by your income as to what to pay them , also you might want to call your local police department they can guild you to places for counseling on abuse and even look in your paper or phone book, communication is the key..its nice you don't want to just leave him like that in that way but to get help first. Most will leave and leave them to hurt the next where as you are willing to go the extra mile and seek help

He needs counseling to teach him to control his temper and you need counseling to learn how to respect yourself and put up acceptable boundaries regarding how you will be treated. You can start by calling your local mental health center or a private therapist (MSW) or an anger management center. Truthfully though, very few of these guys change ... even with counseling. The odds are not good for you. Get out while you still can and for heaven's sake, don't get pregnant by him!

Your doctor can refer you to a counsellor or psychologist or if your community has a local mental health department or organisation, women's shelters should also have people there who can give you advice on how to find help for your boyfriend. Or you can simply just try the yellow pages! If you're religious there's always church, but if you want a logic based therapy, I wouldn't go there. Remember, if you don't like your first counsellor, don't be afraid to see someone else!

First thing he needs help the phone book has alot of councilors listed second if you put up with it you need help as well phone book has them for you to.
if he does it again leave him if he gets help after some time maybe go back with him its up to you but staying isn't a option if he continues to do it.

I have been through this before. We went to counseling and he changed for a little while then returned back to doing what he did best. Get away before you really get hurt

run, don't walk to the nearest exit. All the counciling in the world will not assure you that he will not become abusive again, when you least expect it. You are headed down a very dangerous path if you stick around. RUN
