I get along great with my Mother in law. She's a nice lady and she raised the man I love. Even if I didn't like her, I'd still be respectful and kind to her. Well, then again, if she was like some in laws I've seen on Dr. Phil, I may not be so kind.

We have had our ups and downs in the 26 years my hubby and I have been married/together. But I love them all very much. My hubby has a huge family. So family gatherings are a blast.
His dad died, some years ago.
My MIL and I have had to work thru some issues, but it has made us close. I love being in a big family.
mother-n-law
5 sis-n-laws
4 bro-n-laws
15 nieces and nephews
2 great niece/nephew
my son
my grandson
hubby
and myself.
My hubby gets a long real well with my family as well.
I have a much smaller family.

Unfortunately, both of them are deceased now. I did get along very well with them when they were alive. They treated me as a beloved daughter, and I valued them as another set of parents.
How could you not get along with the people who are responsible for bringing your husband or wife into your life?
I guess I am one of the lucky people, because I have heard in-law horror stories.

Father in law, yes. Mother in law I tolerate to be polite, but would much rather have absolutely nothing to do with.

heck no!! they are ghetto fabulous losers; and I despise them! especially after my daughters were injured in a house fire on 12/26/06. My ex father-in-law died as a result of the injuries he sustained. They are drug addicts and alcoholics; they are truly the lowest form of life!!! and with that said, I still must continue to pray for them; though I dislike them very much!!

I got along very well with mine, and loved them very much. They treated me as their daughter. They both are gone now, but I still think of them often even though their son, and I are no longer married.

not really don't talk to father in law at all mother in law about once every few months
