A special friend of mine has lost one of his good friends and I wanted to give him something to show my sympathy and let him know that I am here for him. What can I do?

Go to him and give him a big hug. Then just give him your shoulder to cry on. Be there for him and listen, don't do too much talking.

This is kinda a tuffy since everyone handles grief differently. I really would just suggest a card or a phone call to let him know you are there if he needs anything. As someone who has lost a few close friends, nothing helps. I just wanted to be left alone to deal. This is about making him feel better, which you really cant. This isnt about satisfying yourself by giving/doing something . Im not tryng to be mean by saying that, Im just trying to emphasize that his feelings are first and foremost right now.

A shoulder to cry on and a hug will work wonders for him! Plus, show him that you care! Look him in the eyes and tell him that you are sorry and u will be with him untill the end (I am not referring as a boyfriend/girlfriend kind of conversation) and he'll make it through it! That will make him feel supporeted and he will be able to move on alot easier! but, most of it, is up to him

You dont have to give him anything but your friendship, be there for him. let him know if he needs to talk, or a shoulder to cry on, that you are there for him.

You don't have to give him anything materialistic. Simply comfort him and let him know that your there for him!
