You're growing a rose in the shade [get's light from 3-5pm]. That's not light...that's a fragile glimmer of hope to a plant which requires sun for most of the day.

Replant it in a sunny position and feed it with some bone meal.

I'm glad you're not the only one that this has happened to.My mom got me some (3) when I was in the hospital one yr. I planted them in the front of my house. They all died and didn't come up again.I planted some at the side of my house where it's hardly no light at all. They stayed bloomed all summer and looked beautiful. And came up the next yr.You have to water them allot. And with youre's being all dried up and almost dead you can save them by trimming the dead ends off and watering them allot. And get them out of the direct sun.For some reason mini roses don't like allot of sun. They will come back to life if you keep them trimmed and out of sun for a while.

needs more sun and maybe more water stick your finger in the dirt it should be moist but not stick to your finger. it may also be dead home depot has a 1 year grantee on all of its plants so if it is dead take it back and get a new one or get your money back and go to a garden center people that own a stand alone garden center care a lot more about the plants they sell and were they come from you may pay more for it but it is well worth the money. They should also help you with were to plant the plants that you get from them

Did you know they call that fungus Black spot? You should be sure to not water too much and also not at night. Best time to water roses early morning just before the morning sun hits them. This eliminates the chances of getting Black Spot. But they also sell rose food that contains fungicides that will knock down that fungus problem. Be sure to cut off large fungus branches because they will die off and can spread the fungus to other branches. Throw the branches in a bag and put it into the garbage so it won't hang out in your yard.
