One superstition of Trelawney's is demonstrated when she joins the Hogwarts staff for the Christmas Dinner in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Trelawney was worried about sitting at the staff table. She says "I dare not [join the staff table], Headmaster! If I join the table, we shall be thirteen! Nothing could be more unlucky! Never forget that when thirteen dine together, the first to rise will be the first to die!". Harry and Ron stood up at the same time…( hinting that Harry or Ron might die in the final book ).
The incident in Ootp proves the “credibility” of this prediction:

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, from page 80 (UK hardback) Harry, Ron, Hermione, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Fred, George, Bill, Ginny, Lupin, Sirius, Tonks and Mundungus (13 characters) dined together. On page 86 (UK hardback), the first line describes Sirius rising from his chair. Sirius died later in the book (and no one else who was sitting at the table died before him).

Also worth mentioning, when reporters asked J.K Rowling whether she would continue writing Harry Potter’s life after book seven. She replied to them, that they shouldn’t be so confident that Harry would live past the seventh book…

Yes, many signs point to Harry having to die (even though I don't think he's a horcrux). Thank you for pointing out one more sign.

However, what if Harry only "kinda" dies? For example, I strongly suspect that the Draught of Living Death will play a crucial role in the next book because Harry's potions book (which was once Snape's) was so carefully hidden away that it seems logical that Harry will need to fetch it back. And the key instructions he'll need will be to make the Draught of Living Death - the potion that was mentioned at the very beginning of Book 1 by Snape and which Harry made so well in Book 6 that he got the prize of Felix Felicis. That potion is waiting to be used at a key plot point, and folks are wrong if they think it was already used by Dumbledore.

So consider the possibility that Harry "dies," but he comes back to life.

Wow, I never noticed that before. But if thats true how come Harry and Ron didnt die in that same book that they got up from the table?

I really hope she's not gonna kill Harry. I'll be so sad. If he dies im gonna scream and throw the book across the room. Lol, no I'm gonna be to into the book to stop and throw it. Can't wait!

btw, I don't think Harry is a horcux, and even if he is that dosent mean he'd have to die. The ring was a horcux, and Dumbledore un-horcuxed it. So there must be a way to kill Voldie's soal and not kill Harry. If he even is a horcux.

Wow I never even caught that! Good Eyes! I think Harry will die. Just based on the fact that NO ONE will leave J.K. alone if he lives. People will be knocking down her door for yet another Harry Potter book. I can't wait to get my hands on the last book to find out!

As a Trekkie it particularly is confusing to elect in basic terms one sequence. i like all of them. I evaluate each and each had it particularly is very own component to contribute to the sequence as a entire. i might have have been given to declare that action picture star Trek Voyager could be my time-honored of all time. Voyager needless to say did what TOS and TNG almost stated they have been going to do, which replaced into as quickly as "to bldy bypass the region no one had long gone previously." My least fashionable of the six sequence; TOS, lively, TNG, DSP, VOY, and ENT, might must be corporation. As a theory, pastimes that took place between the discovery fo warppersistent/first touch and Kirk's 5 year venture, was once in basic terms appropriate. the only disaster I had with it rather is that it regarded rushed. Voyager was once ending so Paramount had to get a greater action picture star Trek on air previously than the final episode aired. My fashionable character might must be Captain Kathryn Janeway provided that she was once the 1st woman starship captain portrayed in the sequence. It gave ladies who watched the show the abilities that they could be something they had to be.

Here's my thought. I believe Harry may infact die. Sad but true. When Voldemort tried to kill him he passed to Harry part of his power, essentially making Harry a Horcrux. Now, a living thing is bad to have as a horcrux because of the danger of it dying. But Voldemort made his pet snake a horcrux. Harry may end becoming the last piece left that could restore Voldemort to power. There may be no choice but to kill off Harry to kill Voldemort so he has no chance to come back to power. Just a theory though.

Wasn't Dumbledore also at the table when Harry and Ron stood up?
