the string divided into 3 sections -> a b c
a : b : c = 1 : 1 1/4 : 3/4

180/3=60
a : b : c = 1*60 : 1.25*60 : 0.75*60
a : b : c = 60 : 75 : 45

let the pieces be x , y, z
y = x + (25 / 100 ) x
=5x / 4
z = x - (25 / 100) x
= 3x / 4
x + y + z= 180
5x / 4 + 3x / 4 + x = 180
x = 60
y = 5* 60 /4
=75
z = 3* 60 /4
=45
hope my answer is correct.

Let x be the length of the first piece.
Then,
the length of the second piece is x + .25x or 1.25x
the length of the third piece is x - .25x or .75x
Since all three pieces together are 180 cm,
x + 1.25x + .75x = 180
3x=180
x=60 cm
1.25x=75 cm
.75x=45 cm
Therefore:
The first piece is 60 cm long.
The second piece is 75 cm long.
The third piece is 45 cm long.

x + y + z = 180

y = (1 + .25)x = 1.25x
z = (1 - .25)x = .75x

x + 1.25x + .75x = 180
3x = 180
x = 60

y = 1.25(60) = 75
z = .75(60) = 45

ANS : 75, 60, and 45
