I'm not asking this to be morbid or anything, but has it ever seemed to anyone that you could bring harm to a baby before you could a puppy? I have a couple of other friends who think the same way. If it came right down to it, I wouldn't hurt either, but I was just curious if anyone else feels the same way.

I think this questoin has a lot to do with background. At first, a parent or an older sibling wouldn't think twice before calling someone who would hurt a baby before a puppy a deranged asshole, but the fact is people who have grown up around dogs and away from children probably have more passion and compassion for dogs. Its like people who don't care about sports vs. DIE HARD football fans. The people who have never really been exposed to football can't understand why some people go crazy over it. I personally share more of an emotional connection with babies as opposed to dogs, but being a dog lover and not wanting to hurt a puppy at any cost doesn't make someone crazy or evil.

i don't know if i would do it but i can see how some one would. i mean a crying baby can drive any one mad, and sometimes there is nothing one can do to stop it. and a puppy can just be let out, give them a treat and they are set.
but think if a person is really that angry they would proly hurt both anyways.

I would never harm a baby or a puppy, but kittens....
just kidding - despite my constant jokes about harming cats/kittens, I'd never harm them either.

If I had to hurt one, it's the puppy. I'd prefer neither, but humans over other animals

You know it's weird, when I watch t.v.,it bothers me to see animals hurt, but when it comes to people dying it makes no difference to me....I don't get it.

it's like-the baby-you can understand it's pain, so you could relate-and somehow that would make it easier...
it is weird..
