They're a great team.
But I hear that that's not good enough...
because they also need to have some flare...otherwise people won't watch. But, in the end, does that matter when a franchise is winning?

Never said that I thought the Spurs were boring. Don't assume that.

Nobody is keeping stats on how boring individual teams are so someone who says the Spurs are boring is just expressing an opinion that cannot be backed up with reliable facts.

Personally I think Memphis are the most boring team because they have only won 17 out of 70 games so far this season.

San Antonio are consistently selling out their home games so I don't think their fans are bored.

There is nothing more boring than watching your favorite team get blown away. Given that there are 30 teams I would guess that at least 95% of NBA fans support a team other than the Spurs.

So far this season the Spurs have played 69 games and won 49 of them. 33 of their wins have been by more than 10 points.

This is more than any other team (Dallas have only won 32 games by more than 10 points). Half the teams in the league haven't even won a total of 33 games.

San Antonio have the best overall winning record of any team in professional sports. They have only missed the play-offs once in the last 17 years.

So it is not surprsing that most NBA fans are getting bored of watching their team get blown away by the Spurs.

The Spurs aren't boring as they got a great basketball team with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Michael Finley, and many other great players. The Spurs are also making the playoffs this year which isn't boring at all. I just don't know why you think the Spurs are boring when they are one of the best teams in the Western Conference. I guess you didn't remember that the Spurs have won two championships and that was back when they had David Robinson on the team and David Robinson was a great NBA player who is now retired but still hangs out with the Spurs every now and then.

No it doesn't matter. If people don't want to watch then so be it. Laugh while you have another River Parade celebrating a championship. They say the Spurs are boring, they say they are soft...soft, schmoft, they're the guys with the rings.

the Spurs are boring but good because their whole team is about fundamentals...they're good because the know how the play the game and win strictly on fundamentals, look at their team and it say it all....except for ginobili who is a very entertaining player, bowen, finley, parker, and especially Duncan are just fundamentally sound guys who win by playing old fashion basketball. not all this high flying, fast paced game that is being taken over and fun to watch by all NBA fans

Sort of. They tend to play in Duncan's pas. That can be boring, plus they tend to either dominate early or lay out a 2 point game and never really pick it up. If they run a Parker and Ginobili game, they shoot to many foul shots. They need a real showman, not flopper's and stiff big men. You would think with Robert Horry they would get lots of buzzer beater games!!! They got one on the Lakers, I’ll give them that, but what about the other 2 games????

They play basketball the right way. Those who find them boring probably think that Darius Miles is the best player in the league. Great defence, good offensive lines, great outside shooters and excellent fastbreak finishers plus an outstanding leader that ensures his club stays focused and always looking to do the right thing.

people that think they are boring are not real basketball fans and dont get it...winning consistently takes something special that most of the high flyers the bandwagon fans root for dont have...chemistry ,a good hard work ethic ,consistent maximum effort and intelligent decision making from the gm down to the players, rings dont come easy, multiple rings are immensely more difficult...and fyi...I am far from a Spurs fan...

The Spurs are simply a great team. They might seem boring to a lot of people because they don't have any criminals or thugs (i.e. Ron Artest, Allen Iverson), ball hogs (Kobe). They good fundamentally sound basketball which is a lost art.

The Spurs play good fundamental basketball and are a good team although not quite as good as they used to be. I think they are a little boring because Their stars, Duncan, Parker even Ginnobli all have no personalities.
