Well, I live in a semi-rural setting and all of the homes in my area are on 2 or 4 acre parcels of land. I live on the top of a small hill in a cul-de-sac so much of the neighborhood is visible from my living room window.
Leaving our house along the long driveway you'll see a massive home under construction on the lot adjacent to ours. I've had many headaches with the trades people there not having any respect for other people's property. They just don't care about anything but themselves.
As we leave the driveway there are some trees on either side and the road goes up over a small hill. Many times we see Moose, Deer, and coyotes as we're leaving or coming home. From here on you'll see mainly trees and driveways on either side of the road as most homes are nestled among the trees.
It's a beautiful neighborhood with very friendly people, everyone waves to each other, even those you have never actually met.

Sure, come along. We are passing the elementary school on the right, if you take a right turn on the next street you will see the park, if you take a left, and go up one block, you will see the Post Office. I live in a quiet neighborhood in an older side of town not far from the park.

Darkness has settled a distant neon cross glows emanating into the night.Pale street lights illuminate forsaken corners.
Good people tucked safely in their beds and the childrens laughter has silenced until the morrow. In the distance the solemn sound of rubber humming as it hugs the pavement, and now silence once again.

in the house on the corner, there is a husband who does landscaping, a stay at home mom, and 2 kids....in the next house there is a man who kicks ass at riding motorcycles and has some sweet bikes, as well as a wife - in the next house there are 2 guys, both engineers that work at a local company (promise, they are not gay really) - in the house next to them is a husband, a wife, and an unidentified relative - next to them is another house full of engineers and technicians - this time there are 4 guys, and no, they are not gay either - then there is my house, where i am a tech and my roommate works at the same company as all of us engineers/techs - the next house there is a young woman who seems to have some people living with her, but we can't ever tell - the house next to her has some strangers in it - they are kind of in the back of the neighborhood - next to them is a home with a husband (engineer again) and a wife (homemaker) and 7 kids!!!! - next to them 2 more engineers (husband and wife) - then there are 3 more houses, and i don't know who lives in them - but 4 people in one house just moved from a couple states over. Oh, and the closest registered sexual offender lives 7 miles away....
how is your neighborhood?

At the entrance there is a gate that says the name of my subdivision.
There are 82 homes in it and none is worth less than $600K.
I live in Phase 2 and the houses are a little bigger and have more restrictions.
I live on a cul-de-sac with 10 houses on it and the house to the south of us abuts a conservancy so we have deer, coyote, and many animals in our yard.
Our house is toward the back of the street. Ilove my house and my neighbors...and I am lucky to live here.

Small but very friendly. A quiet community with the necessary shops and sporting grounds to make it a convenient place to live. Everyone knows everyone else, helps out when needed and says hello by name. A nice little place to live and bring up the kids.

Sure.. If you don't mind going through the hood. There really is not alot to see. Independence ave. is to your right. Also known as hooker alley. Graffiti all over the walls, and junkies walking the street. The city doesn't sleep on this side of town. Welcome to northeast baby, your now in Kansas City Missouri.

Drugs, thugs, corn, porn, prison, nursing homes, restaurants & bars, inept people, religious radicals, rich people getting richer, poor people getting poorer, noise pollution, trash & dirty diapers thrown in the street, mental illness everywhere, stifled atmosphere that refuses to grow, we are like a service industry town where the old rich people make the decisions regarding growth. I could go on & on, but that gives you an idea. OH! I forgot crime is on the rise & gets worse every day in my home town, Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Sure, it's not very exciting. There are single family homes, open fields, a reservation across the street, assorted developments and the sound of absolutely nothing.
