Sorry Dems, "By Injection" doesn't seem applicable here.

BarB: Which book should that be? The ridiculous "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child", perhaps?

mark: I worship no man, and I lionize but one: William F. Buckley, Jr. I have serious doubts that it was Mr. Buckley to whom you were referring. I guess assuming does exactly what it is purported to do.

She didn't, unless she learned to avoid Bill's mistakes, but I don't think so. Lib-er-als are NOT smart.

I don't think "knowledge and experience necessary to govern this country" is the true issue here. As many have stated before, she is very well educated and has a lot of experience in US politics.

My main problems with her come in two other areas (one slighty related to the above).

Number one, she is a liberal. She supports abortion, big government, national healthcare, gun control, etc. She is a Democrat through and through. And I don't support the Democrat agenda one bit.

Number two, she is a senator. I believe that every president ever elected has been a past governor, none of them have been senators. And I think it counts towards the experieice. The position of governor of a state is similar to that of the office of president, but on a smaller scale. That makes governors more experienced in the particulars to the presidential office.

I don't honestly believe that there is any one man or woman alive who has the "requisite knowledge and experience" to govern this country! Name any recent president who has...

That is why they have so many advisers, why they surround themselves with experts (or, in the case of Dubya, why they SHOULD surround themselves with experts...or even people with brains...). No one could possibly know "how" to be president. And there is no "experience" that would teach it!

Hillary saw more of what it would be like to be president, and I'm sure that she was often Bill's confidant when it came to making tough decisions...just as Nancy with poor ol' Ronnie..., but, again, that is not the "real thing." Only by being president can you learn what it is and what it takes to BE president!!

She's a smart woman and could probably do OK. Bush has shown that knowledge and experience have no bearing on the ability to be president. You just show up.

Let's see....

She was involved in politics while her husband was president for 8 years. Then she became Senator of New York, so I think that gives her some experience. I also believe she is popular with the people in her state.

If she were to become President, she can't do any worse than the worst President in American History...

She is highly educated and tough and driven and has as big an ego as any other candidate, but she is a socialist. That blows the whole deal.

Law degree and eight years (by 2008) as a senator. More than Bush had.

And if it helps you, she used to be a republican.
