and which issues of The Authority should I get if I want to get their story. I know in #24 is wherein they do get married. I mean, sure, I already know they're married but how did it start?

The two of them first show up in later issues of StormWatch. They are already lovers when we first meet them. They were early experiments by Bendix at creating superhumans and kept secret from the rest of StormWatch. The two of them realized that Bendix was nuts and took off to become vigilantes on their own.
