is linkin park a good band 4 a 10 yr old 2 listen 2??

If you have any kind of music search engine program on your computer then I suggest running a search on the band and proof them yourself. You are the father and will want your kid to be listening to good music right ? Well then listen to them a little bit on your own and know for your self that's the best way your going to find out. I myself like Linkin Park,they are a hard rock band from the 90's & there song "bout to break" is rough for a kid at any age so check them 1st for yourself.

You should check out the band and their lyrics yourself on Yahoo. Personally I think there are a few songs that deal with topics that might be a bit much for a ten year old like paranoia (Papercut) and a whole bunch of songs dealing with relationships (Pushing Me Away, Lying From You, etc) Also, they have a song called "High Voltage" that is on the Hybrid Theory EP and Reanimation which uses the "s word" (Hybrid Theory 1 time, Reanimation twice)

I dont know that they are talking about bad stuff, just real issues to me. I really like this band and I let my daughter listen to them when she was 10. Odds are, if your child doesn't listen to it with you, they will hear it somewhere else. , personally would rather have my daughter listen to things I am not sure about when I am around, that way if she does have questions about the lyrics or meaning, I can try and answer them for her, rather than she and her friends trying to figure it out on their own. I know that some people will say that we have to do everything we can to protect our children while they are young, but we cannot protect them from everything all of the time. So why not try and help educate them will we can, and not be too strict or overprotective?

There is alot of violence and swearing in their lyrics and I don't see them being a positive inspiration for a 10 year old.

A 10 year old should be listening to bands with lyrics they understand about issues they are passionate about.

I also have a 7 300 and sixty 5 days old who use to act purely like that along with his one 300 and sixty 5 days old brother like 6 months in the past. He could take each and all of the babies toys and get mad whilst the infant grew to become into enjoying wih his toys till I reported "Oh so your little brother isn't stable adequate to share with yet your friends are? in the trash they pass!", and that i threw his in demand toys in the trash. whilst he hit the infant, I hit him desirable back on the arms or butt and he stopped as nicely. Now he continuously shares his toys along with his brother and doesnt take them away... except they are very small wherein I tell him those he can play with on my own and removed from the infant. i grew to become into very confusing on him for a pair months and now he performs nicely along with his brother.

yah the band is clean.So thier music is loud sort of rock style, but thats about it. Dont think its for headbangers because they are different. Its uplifting and kwl so I say let the kid listen to it.
