Please begin by being honest. EVERYTHING comes out in the open eventually. Falsifying your education / work experience does not make you appear more intelligent or desirable as an employee. It indicates that there are many important qualities lacking in you such as integrity, loyalty to the business, competency, a willingness to learn and work hard. You just told your boss that you are interested only in your self-seeking and that the employer needs to think twice about considering you for the job, even if it is simply entry- level. Lack of degree or experience is no necessarily a bad thing especially if you are a diligent and honest worker. Give it a go !

I've lied to a certain extent on every application I've ever filled out. A couple of places checked references extensively yet failed to catch the lie. As a former manager, I never checked anyone's reference for high school. I always assumed that everyone graduates from high school.
On the other hand, I would never hire anyone with your spelling and grammer problems. If someone had crap like that on an application, it would be passed around to other managers for a good laugh.

Do you mean they need a Highschool or college graduate?
It IS very risky...
You can probably get in serious trouble not just that company if you get caught, but also for future companies you will try to get into. You probably will have to back up your application with your transcript so I suggest go back to school, graduate, and be more successful. Good luck!

The best policy is honesty. If you lie to them and they find out, then it would be hard for them to trust you, and will probably let you go. And if a future employer was to contact them, well...there you go. So go on and get you diploma, or find a different job.

Most sensible employers check the credentials of a prospective employee. Why don't you get the neccessary qualifications and then you won't need to be dishonest.(And you'll respect yourself more too!)

They really don't check - it's obviously very unethical though
