ok a while back a go this guy came to my door and said that i had hit his car because the marks on my burban and his car match up. me knowing that there has been posibility that it could have been cuz the guy always parked right in front of my drive way across the street and the suburban have a wide turn radias that is the chance that i can get close. so with there be a posibility i desided to work with the guy. he gave me an estamate from the body place and i thought was to much and not worth it so he told me to give him some places to go but he didnt like my ideas and he was set with what he came up with. me being a kid in high school and only having a part time job i would be able to do any thing. at first my father didnt want it to go to insurance but the guy got inpatient and wanted the insurance to take care of it. but the insurance company declined him and he wants some thing done and i told him no. so now he wants to take me to court what do i do

Did you admit that you hit him, or did you say it was "possible?" If you didnt admit liability, let him sue you. Then the insurance company has to defend you. If they didnt cash out it's because they think the guy doesnt have a case. And it sounds as if, absent witnesses, that he doesnt. So if he does sue you, give the insurance company the summons and complaint and let them handle it. If they lose, they have to pay him regardless of declining the claim now. Basically, when an insurance company declines the claim, they are saying "heck with you, sue us." So let him.

Short story..... My friend and I were just going to leave a parking area and decided to return to the store. Just as My friend and I were going to return to the store a big Dodge ram backs up and almost hits my friend and would have if I had not pushed him to the side. I told the lady and she denied ever hitting our vehicle. The Insurance people spent nine months on it and the lady was going to get away with the whole thing....She lied and the insurance company had our pictures at the scene and my testimony. She almost got away with it... So what makes you think you did it or not..I say let the insurance people sort it out. And tell your insurance man there is no way you could hit some one and not know it.. This should be how things work...you are accountable and nothing happened and if it did the insurance should figure it out. Insurance is the one he should sue not you. It is out of your hands now.

Did you hit him? A possibilty? You must know if you hit him. If you did - you need to make it right. Make him get 3 estimates - take the middle one.

Why did the insurance company deny the claim?

You sure he didn't hit YOU while you were parked and decide to play you for being young?

If you did it, be an adult and own up to it. If you legitimately didn't, and he can't PROVE you did it, then this guy doesn't have a prayer....

Talk to a lawyer. Lawyers speak legalese and can communicate and get problems worked out. Kinda like getting two chimps to communicate with each other.
