If I buy a new upgraded computer tower do it have to match the monitor?

Nope. Your current monitor should work just fine, since it is connected to your video card. If you are getting a new video card with your new tower, then you may need an adpater, depending on the new video card. Most likely, you will be fine.

well if it is say a black tower and you have a white monitor
you can match them but it really doesnt matter
but if your the color and brand matching kind of guy then go waste your money
but just keep the old monitor if it works
you shouldnt buy a new tower either
working on a computer is simple
what ever is wrong with it even you could fix it
just buy new hard drives and rams and if the motherboard is fried buy a new one it will be alot less than getting a whole new system
and to make the tower look modern put a plexiglass side panel on your tower and put some led fans to lite it up and i promiss your looking at alot less than what youd pay for a new system

Absolutely not. Your operating system is the part that gets along with your monitor. For instance, if you're running Windows on your old computer, and your new tower is running Windows, you'll have no problems.
