Trees (1913)
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Sgt. Joyce Kilmer gave his life for our country.

I think that I shall never see
Me not buy on a shopping spree
As long as there are clothes and shoes
I window shop, the malls I cruise
For bargains, and for closeout sales
I happily blaze new trails
For 60 percent off Lauren pants
My heart will sing, my soul will dance
I watch my credit line go soaring
But I assure you, life is never boring
My closet's full, the door won't shut
You must think I am a nut
Im sure your asking me just why
I keep on going out to buy
But there's always one more sale
I try to stop, to no avail
They say the devil wears Prada,
but compared to me, he's got nada
My shelves burst with Manolos and Jimmy Choo's
They were on sale - so what's to lose?
When will I stop, I shop so often
I guess when it's time to buy a coffin.

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast.
Upon whose bosom snow has lain
Who intimately lives with rain
A tree who may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair
Poems are made by fools like me
But only G-d could make a tree.

I think that I shall never see a beautiful sunshine.
I think that I shall never see your beautiful smile.
I think that I shall never see or feel your radiance.
I think that I shall never feel these things... because a shark chomped off my dork...
