I am going on a trip with my High School choir in a couple of days and we have to bring our (dry-clean only) dress uniforms. I don't have time to get it dry cleaned, so is there anything I can do to my dress to make it fresher or smell better?

You could try steaming it.

Those little hand held steamers work really good for removing odors. If you don't have one of those, you could hang it in the bathroom and turn the shower on HOT for 10 minutes or so with the door closed. You could even pour some shampoo or body wash on the floor of the tub so the water hits it and makes it smell good. This works good in hotel bathrooms too, plus it keeps the air nice and moist so you will sleep better!

Buy some Dryel. It is an at home dry cleaning kit. It is really easy, and all it takes is a cycle in the dryer.

Depending on what kind of material it is but most cloths you can wash by hand in cold water & woolite & let drip dry on a hanger don't wring it out, or squezz very little.

Bring Fabreze. When you take it off, hang it up, where it can air out and spray it. Should help keep it fresh smelling.
