I'm looking for any music out there that I can listen to while I'm working that will help the "creative juices flow". Preferably music that is primarily instrumental or at least somewhat on the "mellow side". Something like The Fray or Augustana would be good.

There's a book called The Mozart Effect by Don Campbell. There are also Cd's that go along with it, and the specific CD for creativity is Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 3, Unlock the Creative Spirit. Try reading the look and listening to the CD.

Give this a try: http://www.pandora.com it's a free "music suggestion" site, where you put in the kinds of music (bands or specific songs) you want it to play, and it plays both the stuff you requested and also plays similar stuff. It has a rating system, so you can train it to find the kind of music that works best for you. It's been an invaluable tool in my creative pursuits.

Try some Mozart, Vivaldi or Chopin.

Wow! I just found an album on Napster called THE MOST RELAXING CLASSICAL PIANO MUSIC IN THE UNIVERSE. If you like piano music, you might try it. It's beautiful.

i do no longer write, besides the fact that, I do paint, no longer professionally with the help of any ability. properly i think that the respond is somewhat definite, in that music does help my creativity bypass, yet i do no longer save it on repeat, I purely hear to the excellent album, and then maximum possibly while the album is performed i'm achieved.

Beethoven.

Try the Emperor Concerto or the 6th Symphony - if neither of them move you to be creative, then you may as well hang it up.

Yep.
