Truth.
They have that saying because sometimes real life is more bizarre than anything a writer could dream up in their imagination. It's always better to write about real life experiences anyway because you wind up writing intensely, honestly & with a sense of immediacy that you only get from first-hand experience (even sci-fi writers can base characters on people in their own lives).

reality.When something is fiction you dont expect it to be real.But when you find something in real life that is bazzare it is alot more strange than fiction becouse you werent expecting it.
