Sometimes the position of the baby blocks the ability to determine gender. This happened to my friend, she had three separate ultrasounds and they still could not tell. Her doctor told her that if you can't tell through ultrasound, it is most likely a girl. And she had a girl.

Heaven help you...I hope that was a typo. I certainly hope that you mean eighteen weeks, which would match up with some of your earlier questions on here.

Sometimes the baby will not be turned on the ultrasound in order for the lab tech to see the baby clearly enough in order to tell if it is a boy or a girl.

I am sure that you will have another ultrasound later on, and you may be able to find out then.

Best of luck.

UMM do you mean 18 weeks? a gestation period is only 40 weeks or 9 calendar months. IF your 18 months pregnant your baby should be 9 months old!

and yes they can sometimes determine sex at 18 weeks but most of the time they wait until 20 to 24 weeks gestation to determine that!

18 months pregnant? You're having an elephant. Just 6 more months to go. It's about the only thing that gestates that long.

18 months or weeks? no such thing as 18 months... don't stress about the sex any way... they told my friend she was having a girl so we painted the room pink and got girly stuff...turned out to be a boy. as long as your baby is healthy every thing will be ok. if you are only 18 weeks pregnant you have plenty of time to find out the sex
gool luck

If you mean 18 weeks, then there is uncertain to know it's a boy or a girl. It is certain when reaching 5th month of pregnancy, or about 22 weeks.

What is the question? If you're wondering why he couldn't see what gender your baby is, maybe the legs were closed and your baby wouldn't move into a position so he could decipher the sex.
