If so, what makes them happy? I must admit that I'm having a tough time finding anything meaningful to make me happy. It seems to me as if all happiness is fleeting and temporary.

I think that throughout life we have happy and unhappy times in our lives. Life is what you make it.

Who knows? I know I'm not happy because I've been working all my life and I'm going to die some day and make all that work pointless... so maybe happiness comes to those who choose to block such a thought from their minds.

Good question.
I derive lasting joy and happiness from my relationship with God through Jesus Christ. All other happiness is fleeting and temporary.

not knowing who is stupid god
not knowing why they're not happy.
not knowing why others are not like them
not knowing why they're not as dumb/smart/crazy/pathetics/rich/poor/happy/moron/mean spirit sad like the others.
not knowing why they were born to this miserable earth.

This is stupid, but i was very unhappy until i found my boy friend.
