if so then is there a deposit to turn it back on? if they send a letter stating you need to pay this much by this date for a discount persay, does this mean you can get your gas restored? if anyone has ever gotten a shut off and got it back on, aprox how much was your deposit?

why is your question under 'corporations' ? u mean the gas company as the corp? or is this for your corp?
it won't matter for my answer.
yes, if u don't pay and they shut u off, they generally impose a deposit, about $100.00-200 or depends on your monthly avg bill/usage.
also they usually keep that deposit until u have made 12 full montly payments on time.
and since u said it was shut off already they usually add some lame 'fee' like restoration fee, or reactivation fee probably about $25 added to bill.
